Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran highlighted the impact of AI on productivity and job losses. "It's a mixed bag. We need to reskill and upskill to handle this change. While there will be job losses, AI will create jobs in data management," Chandrasekaran, who is also TCS chairman, said at the company's AGM held virtually on Friday.

The Supreme Court allowed Biti Hotra Mohanti, convicted of sexually assaulting a German tourist in 2006 and sentenced to seven years in prison, to surrender at Cuttack in Odisha instead of a jail in Rajasthan. Mohanti, who had absconded in 2006 while on parole and lived under a pseudonym, claimed through his counsel, Nakul Divan, that he has stage-4 cancer and may not receive adequate treatment in Rajasthan jail.
