A 24-year-old software engineer named S Yajnik from Sakleshpur died by suicide in a Bengaluru hotel room after allegedly inhaling helium gas. He had checked in on August 16, claiming he had to write MTech exams. When he didn't check out, hotel staff discovered his body with a helium cylinder and pipe. CCTV footage showed Yajnik entering the hotel with the equipment. Police are investigating how he obtained the gas and stated that Yajnik was reportedly upset over personal issues. No death note was found. His family is expected in Bengaluru for further proceedings.
