The Delhi-Saharanpur MEMU train derailed during a shunting operation at Saharanpur station yard around 1:30 PM. Fortunately, there were no casualties as the train was empty. The Senior Divisional Commercial Manager’s office confirmed the incident and mentioned that efforts are in place to clear the yard and restore operations. The train had arrived at Saharanpur Junction at 12:26 PM, delayed by over an hour and a half. Railway staff are working to reposition the two derailed coaches. This derailment marks the 10th such incident in the country within the last 18 days.
