Tata Motors is enhancing its Nexon lineup with exciting new additions, including the launch of the Nexon iCNG in the Indian market. Priced at ₹ 8.99 lakh ex-showroom, this new CNG variant promises to capture the attention of SUV enthusiasts. Alongside the Nexon iCNG, Tata has announced updates for the Nexon EV, which now features a longer driving range, and the introduction of the eye-catching Red Dark Edition.
The 2024 Tata Nexon iCNG is powered by a 1.2L turbo-petrol engine, delivering a peak power output of 100 Hp and a maximum torque of 170 Nm. This variant is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and boasts impressive fuel efficiency, rated at 24 km/kg. Utilizing Tata Motors' innovative dual-cylinder technology, the Nexon iCNG offers a practical boot space of 321 litres, with the spare tire positioned beneath the body for enhanced utility. Safety is also a priority, with 6 airbags and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) as standard features across the range.
In terms of technology, the Nexon iCNG is equipped with a large panoramic sunroof and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster that includes a navigation display, offering a modern driving experience. A total of 8 variants will be available, catering to diverse consumer preferences.
The new Red Dark Edition of the Nexon is set to stand out with its striking design. Building on the success of the Dark Editions in models like the Harrier and Safari, this variant promises a more flamboyant look, complemented by updated interiors that enhance the overall appeal.
Additionally, the Nexon EV has received significant upgrades, now featuring a larger 45 kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed range of 489 km, with real-world estimates between 350-370 km. This variant starts at ₹ 13.99 lakh ex-showroom, making it an attractive option for electric vehicle enthusiasts.
