MCC Begins NEET UG 2024 Counselling: Key Dates and Process for MBBS, BDS, and Nursing Admissions

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially initiated the counselling process for NEET UG 2024, marking a significant step for candidates aspiring to secure admissions in undergraduate medical courses. The registration for Round 1 of counselling has commenced and will be open until August 21, 2024. During this period, qualified candidates can register for MBBS, BDS, BSc (Nursing) courses by visiting the MCC’s official website.
The counselling process will follow a structured schedule, with choice filling and locking available from August 16 to August 20, 2024. The seat allotment processing will occur from August 21 to August 22, with the results expected to be announced on August 23. Candidates who receive their allotment will need to report or join their respective institutions between August 24 and August 29, 2024. Verification of these candidates is scheduled for August 30-31, 2024. Round 2 of registration will be held from September 4-5, 2024, with subsequent dates for seat allotment and reporting.
This counselling process will cover approximately 1.10 lakh MBBS seats across around 710 medical colleges in India, along with 21,000 BDS seats and various seats for Ayush and nursing programs. MCC will handle the counselling for 15 percent all-India Quota seats, 100 percent seats at AIIMS, JIPMER Pondicherry, all central universities, and deemed universities. The final results for the NEET UG 2024 exam were released on July 26, 2024, paving the way for this critical phase of admissions.
