Pujya Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji’s Visit to Vijayawada Avadhoota Datta Peetham (30/12/2024 - 05/01/2025)
 
Pujya Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji embarked on a sacred Nada Yatra across the Datta Kshetras of Andhra Pradesh. As part of this divine journey, Sri Swamiji graced the Vijayawada branch of Avadhoota Datta Peetham from December 30, 2024, to January 5, 2025. The five-day visit was marked by spiritual discourses, sacred ceremonies, and divine blessings, leaving devotees inspired and enriched. Below is a detailed account of the highlights from each day of this transformative visit.
 
30th December 2024 – Swagatha Sabha
 
 
A grand Swagatha Sabha (Welcome Ceremony) was organized to honor Sri Swamiji. During the event, he spoke on the significance of the Hindu calendar and Sanatana Dharma, emphasizing their ancient origins, predating even the Dwapara Yuga. Sri Swamiji encouraged devotees to celebrate birthdays and spiritual occasions according to the Hindu calendar, preserving its sacred traditions.
 
Quoting the Mahabharata, Sri Swamiji narrated how Sri Krishna guided Arjuna in the Kurukshetra war to uphold Dharma. He reminded everyone that Dharma should never be compromised for material gains. Parents, he said, should guide their children lovingly yet firmly, correcting mistakes instead of endorsing them blindly. Sri Swamiji also advised devotees to light lamps during celebrations, as opposed to blowing out candles, in alignment with Indian culture. He concluded by urging regular reading of the Panchanga (Hindu almanac).
 
31st December 2024 – Sri Chakra Puja & Bhajan Session
 
The day began with the auspicious Sri Chakra Puja performed by Sri Swamiji. In the evening, a soulful bhajan session was conducted, during which Sri Swamiji expounded on the healing power of music. He explained how Nada (sound) and Ragas (musical modes) uniquely impact the human body in healing concerts.
 
Sri Swamiji shared the story of Vyasa Bhagavan, who initially lacked Bhakti (devotion) despite his vast knowledge. Inspired by Narada’s guidance, Vyasa Bhagavan imbued the Srimad Bhagavatam with pure Bhakti, showcasing the transformative power of devotion. Sri Swamiji also emphasized that seva (selfless service) should be performed silently and with a pure heart, without seeking recognition.
Later, Sri Swamiji unveiled two significant works:
A video disc utilizing AI technology to explain all 700 verses of the Bhagavad Gita in English.

1st January 2025 – New Year Darshan
 
On New Year’s Day, thousands of devotees received Sri Swamiji’s blessings. In his evening discourse, he reiterated the importance of following the Hindu calendar and recommended adopting the Padmasana posture while eating for better health.
 
Sri Swamiji narrated a poignant story of a temple priest who neglected Goddess Amma’s blessings but was later saved by her during a flood. He emphasized that devotees should remain attentive to divine hints during challenging times and follow the guidance shared in his speeches and the SGS Post.
 
2nd January 2025 – Temple Reinstallation & Spiritual Teachings
 
The Punarpratishtapana (reinstallation) of the Gangadhareshwara and Dattatreya temples began with Sri Swamiji performing Sri Chakrarchana. In his discourse, Sri Swamiji urged devotees to study and disseminate the Bhagavad Gita, describing it as Lord Krishna’s ultimate gift.
 
He elaborated on the distinctions between Atma Vilasa (self-realization), Avadhoota Gita (a complex scripture), and the Bhagavad Gita (easier to comprehend). He encouraged devotees to master Karma Yoga by leading disciplined and honest lives before progressing to Bhakti Yoga and Jnana Yoga.
 
In the evening, Sri Swamiji narrated the story of King Raika, illustrating the principles of selfless service and the importance of chanting Gam Ganapataye Namaha before starting any task. He emphasized performing all actions with dedication and offering them to God while avoiding ego and cultivating gratitude.
 
3rd January 2025 – Bhagavad Gita Achievements & Special Visitors
 
After performing Sri Chakra Puja, Sri Swamiji presented certificates to students who memorized the entire Bhagavad Gita. A collective chanting of the Sampoorna Bhagavad Gita created a spiritually charged atmosphere.
 
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu, visited the Ashrama to seek Sri Swamiji’s blessings. During the event, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Datta Kshetra Nada Yatra by lighting a ceremonial lamp. Sri Swamiji praised the Chief Minister as a true Karma Yogi and blessed him for his service to the people. In his response, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude for Sri Swamiji’s contributions to spiritual upliftment in the region.
 
Sri Swamiji shared the inspiring story of King Jnana Shruti and Raika, highlighting the virtues of humility, selflessness, and devotion in service.
 
4th January 2025 – Raga Sagara Healing Concert & Devotee Celebrations
 
 
The highlight of the day was the Gangadhareshwara Raga Sagara Healing Concert, where Sri Swamiji’s divine music offered healing vibrations to hundreds of devotees.
 
In the evening, devotees celebrated Uyyalotsava (swing festival) in honor of Sri Swamiji, creating a joyous and devotional atmosphere. Sri Swamiji advised devotees to lead disciplined lives, essential for spiritual progress.
 
5th January 2025 – Kumbhabhishekam of New Temples
 
The visit concluded with the grand Kumbhabhishekam (consecration ceremony) of four new temples:
 
Anagha Sameta Dattatreya
Kshipra Ganapathi
Gangadhareshwara
Subramanya
 
Junior Pontiff Sri Datta Vijayananda Theertha Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja, while Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji conducted the Yantra Pratishthapana for the newly consecrated temples. The ceremonies were filled with devotion, marking a spiritual milestone for the Vijayawada Ashrama.
 
In his parting discourse, Sri Swamiji encouraged devotees to embrace spiritual teachings and practices in their daily lives. The visit concluded as Sri Swamiji departed for Gudiwada Kshetra, continuing his Datta Kshetra Nada Yatra across Andhra Pradesh.
 
Sri Swamiji’s visit to Vijayawada was a divine confluence of spirituality, devotion, and service. Thousands of devotees participated in the events, drawing inspiration from his profound teachings and sacred ceremonies. His discourses emphasized the importance of Dharma, selfless service, and disciplined living, motivating devotees to lead spiritually enriched lives.
