The other day, Andhra Pradesh Ranji cricketer Hanuma Vihari announced that he will no longer be playing for the Andhra side in the tournament as he felt humiliated for being reprimanded by the board for allegedly shouting at a player. It was later identified that the player that Vihari shouted at is a son of a YCP politician. This has led to a huge debate in AP now.
“It's a shame that even the Andhra Cricket Association has succumbed to YSRCP's vindictive politics. @Hanumavihari, a brilliant Indian international cricketer, has been targeted to the point where he has vowed to never play for Andhra Pradesh.
Hanuma, stay strong - your integrity and commitment to the game speak volumes. These unjust actions don't reflect the true spirit of Andhra Pradesh or our people. We stand with you, and we'll ensure justice prevails.” Chandrababu tweeted on the matter.
Reacting to the matter, YSR Congress party tweeted “After the Andhra Ranji cricket team player Hanuma Vihari was removed from the captaincy, he made posts on social media criticizing the Andhra Cricket Association. In fact, the team management took this decision because of his poor behavior and abusive language towards fellow players. But on the basis of his posts, Vihari was fired for political reasons, and the opposition in AP is spreading misinformation. @ncbn @pawankalyan @naralokesh is behind this campaign. Even though there was no political involvement in the case of Hanuma Vihari, there was a smear campaign.
