- Jagan Mohan Reddy, Political News AP, Independence Day, Andhra Pradesh Politics
India celebrated Independence Day on the 15th of this month with traditional festivities, including the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hosting an “At Home” event at his residence. This event featured flag hoisting, a parade, and high tea, and is a customary celebration on both Independence Day and Republic Day. Despite receiving an invitation, Jagan Mohan Reddy, the leader of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress (YCP), chose to skip the event this year.
While several dignitaries, including MLAs, MPs, Padma Awardees, and other prominent figures, attended the event, Jagan Mohan Reddy's absence was notable. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan were among those present. Pawan Kalyan, in his deputy CM role, attended the event gracefully, showing that political status does not necessarily impact participation in national celebrations. In contrast, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s decision to skip the event remains unexplained, marking a departure from previous years when he participated even while out of power.
