Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has demonstrated exceptional administrative skill by securing Rs 2,500 crore in dues from Telangana, a crucial recovery for Andhra Pradesh. This amount, related to foreign loans taken during the united Andhra Pradesh era, was due from Telangana as its share of the loan repayments. Following the bifurcation in 2014, Andhra Pradesh had been covering both states' loan responsibilities.

Despite previous administrations under K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy neglecting this financial obligation, Naidu's TDP government, which recently came into power, identified and pursued this issue. By addressing the matter with the central finance ministry, Naidu prompted the Telangana government to transfer the dues through an Intergovernmental Transfer (IGT).

Naidu's effective administration and alliances, including his past collaboration with the NDA and recent negotiations with Telangana's current CM, A. Revanth Reddy, played a crucial role in resolving this issue. The Rs 2,500 crore funds, representing Telangana's share of loans for projects like Inner Ring Road and Hussain Sagar, have now been rightfully returned to Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant achievement for Naidu's leadership.
