AV Ranganath, the Chief of the Hyderabad Road Development Authority (HYDRAA), has been actively engaging with media outlets to clarify the department's operations and its role in addressing illegal structures. A key point of discussion has been the Janwada farmhouse owned by Kalvakuntla Taraka Ramarao (KTR). Ranganath emphasized that the farmhouse does not fall under HYDRAA’s purview, as it is governed by GO 111, which delineates regulations for certain types of structures. He assured that HYDRAA will not focus on this property specifically and that it does not fall within the Floodplain or Buffer Zone concerns. Ranganath noted that while HYDRAA will assist other departments if requested, the agency will avoid politically motivated actions.

In contrast, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy has raised concerns about HYDRAA's implementation at the ground level. Reddy reported complaints from various sections alleging that some officials were using HYDRAA's name to intimidate building owners and engage in corrupt practices. He warned that stringent actions would be taken against any such misconduct, aiming to address and rectify these issues within the department.
