Nearly three months after Andhra Pradesh's historic election, the YSR Congress Party (YCP) remains in disbelief over the outcome. Former Nagari MLA and prominent YCP leader Roja has openly expressed her shock at the scale of the defeat, asserting that the party's performance did not justify such a significant loss. In her words, "Odipoyentha thappu memu emi cheyaledu," she conveyed her disbelief and frustration, suggesting that the results hit the party like a "tsunami."
Roja further contested the legitimacy of the election results, claiming that the party’s pro-welfare stance and efforts did not reflect the magnitude of the defeat. She expressed skepticism about the public mandate and hinted at possible foul play in the election process. This stance indicates a broader denial among YCP leaders, including party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy, regarding the electoral verdict. The ongoing refusal to fully acknowledge and analyze the reasons behind the defeat could hamper the party's efforts to recover and strategize for future elections.
