- YCP leaders, TDP office vandalism, TDP attack case
In a notable twist in the TDP office vandalism case, several YCP leaders including Lella Appireddy, Talasila Raghuram, and Devineni Avinash have resorted to a famous dialogue from Jr NTR’s movie Adhurs — "Telidu… Gurthuledu… Marchipoya" (don’t know, forgot, don’t recall) — during their police investigation. This dialogue has humorously yet significantly become a part of their defense strategy. The Supreme Court had earlier directed these leaders to submit their passports at the Mangalagiri police station as part of the investigation into the 2021 attack on the TDP office.
When questioned by the Mangalagiri DSP about their alleged involvement in the vandalism, the leaders repeatedly used the dialogue to deflect the inquiries, stating they could not recall specific details or their roles in the incident. They claimed the attack was carried out by their supporters in response to offensive remarks made by TDP leaders about then-CM Jagan. The leaders’ evasive responses have led to an unsatisfactory conclusion of the investigation so far, leaving the case’s future direction uncertain.
