In a landmark operation, the HYDRAA agency has successfully executed a major demolition drive in Hyderabad, recovering over 8 acres of encroached land in just one day. This substantial effort marks one of the agency's most significant actions to date, aimed at reclaiming vital land and restoring the integrity of the city's water bodies.

The drive focused heavily on Kukatpally Lake (Nalla Cheruvu), where 16 illegal commercial establishments were demolished, resulting in the recovery of 4 acres. HYDRAA made a conscious decision to target only commercial outlets, ensuring that residential structures were not affected during this extensive operation.

In the Kistareddypet area, the agency removed encroachments from government lands, successfully reclaiming an additional acre. Meanwhile, the Patelguda area witnessed the demolition of 25 RCC structures, leading to the recovery of a significant 3 acres.

This demolition drive is part of HYDRAA’s ongoing commitment to restore lands that are essential to Hyderabad's water bodies. With this operation being the largest in terms of illegal establishments demolished and land recovered, HYDRAA continues to strengthen its mission of urban land reclamation and environmental preservation.
