Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has made it clear that the Hyderabad Development and Regulatory Authority (HYDRAA) will operate without restraint, targeting properties belonging to various individuals, including his own relatives and prominent leaders. This declaration was highlighted when HYDRAA served demolition notices to A Tirupati Reddy, Revanth's brother, whose property is situated near Durgam Cheruvu.

However, the situation took a turn when the Telangana High Court intervened, providing a temporary reprieve to Tirupati Reddy and other residents. The court ordered a pause on HYDRAA's demolition operations in the Durgam Cheruvu area, following appeals from local residents. They cited a preliminary 2014 order that prevents any demolitions in the region.

The case has now been referred to the Lake Protection Committee, with the High Court instructing that residents submit their objections. Until a final decision is reached, no demolitions will proceed. The court has given the committee six weeks from October 4 to issue a notification based on the objections presented.

For now, residents of Durgam Cheruvu, including A Tirupati Reddy, are safe from HYDRAA's actions. The future of their properties hinges on the forthcoming deliberations by the Lake Protection Committee, making this a critical moment for the community.
