The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board, under the leadership of BR Naidu, has brought in notable improvements to the operations and management of the Tirumala temple. From cleaner pathways and better quality of services to addressing long-standing concerns like non-Hindu workers in Tirumala, the board has been making strides in maintaining the temple's sanctity.

However, one major issue remains unresolved: the rise of Instagram reels and dance videos filmed in front of the temple. This disturbing trend, where individuals film entertainment content to gain social media popularity, threatens the holiness of Tirumala, a sacred place of worship. A recent incident involving a girl dancing to a Pushpa 2 song at Tirumala ghat sparked public ire, and while the TTD has warned that such actions could lead to the seizure of phones and cameras, this culture continues to grow.

The TTD board now faces immense public pressure to address this problem by taking strong and decisive action. The board must set a precedent by enforcing severe penalties for those who violate the sanctity of the temple with such behavior. Only through stern measures can this growing trend be curbed, and the temple’s sanctity preserved for future generations. Additionally, public education campaigns can help raise awareness about the importance of decorum at sacred sites like Tirumala.

It’s imperative that the TTD board act swiftly to protect the dignity of Tirumala and its millions of devotees. By taking decisive steps, the board can restore the temple’s reverence and ensure that it remains a place of deep spiritual significance.
