Spiritual content creator Abhinav Arora, popularly known as 'Bal Sant' by his followers, recently spoke out against his online critics, revealing that their trolling and cyberbullying have prevented him from attending school regularly.
In an interview with ANI, the 10-year-old shared his challenges, explaining that he currently only attends school to take exams. "I go to school because I believe both academic and spiritual education are important. I’m in class 5, but due to the trolling, I’ve stopped attending regular classes. I did go to take my exams, but because of the trollers, I can’t go to school," Abhinav said.
Abhinav's father, Tarun Raj Arora, described his son as a bright student with aspirations to join a 'Gurukul,' though controversies have disrupted his physical schooling. "He does go to school, but right now, he’s pursuing spiritual education at home due to these controversies. He values both school and spiritual education and hopes to attend a Gurukul in the future," Tarun Arora told ANI. He added that Abhinav is currently focused on spiritual learning at home.
Discussing his legal action against the trolls, Abhinav explained that approaching the courts was not his intention, but the circumstances left him with no choice.
On being called 'Bal Sant,' Abhinav clarified that he has never referred to himself as a saint. Instead, he identifies as a devotee of Lord Krishna, dedicated to promoting spirituality and Sanatan Dharm. "The title of 'Bal Sant' was given to me by my followers as a term of endearment," he said.
Regarding his popularity, Abhinav expressed that those who follow him are not his personal followers but devotees of Lord Krishna.
Abhinav also addressed the controversy surrounding an old video where he mentioned his mother cooking chicken for him despite being a vegetarian. He explained the context, revealing that the video was from the lockdown period and was based on an "online poem" he had recited at the time. "That video is three to four years old. People have fixated on one line and used it against me. I was only repeating a poem I had heard online. I am a strict vegetarian and don’t even consume onion or garlic," Abhinav clarified.
