Narrative writing is actually story writing (in chronological order), where your character faces a problem and then tries to solve it. The elements of the narrative are:
Plot (the sequence of events), conflict (problem your character faces), setting (location and time) and characters.
To write a good narrative essay, you have to use literary devices to express your ideas such as:
Flashbacks, foreshadowing and cliff-hangers.
