On Thursday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched a new mobile application, Hamara Bihar Hamari Sadak, aimed at enabling citizens to report poor road conditions in even the remotest areas of the state. The app was introduced at the Chief Minister's official residence, with Minister for Rural Works Ashok Choudhary and Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena also present for the occasion.

The initiative is intended to utilize state-of-the-art technology for better maintenance of rural roads and faster resolution of citizens' complaints. The app will allow users to report road issues like potholes by uploading photographs. Deepak Kumar Singh, the additional chief secretary for the Rural Works Department, mentioned that around 65,000 km of roads will be listed on the app by block. To ensure transparency, the officials will also be required to upload photographs of the repaired roads after completing maintenance work.
