MCC Extends Deadline for NEET PG 2024

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the deadline for Round 1 choice filling and locking in the NEET PG 2024 counselling process to 9:00 AM on November 18, 2024. Initially, the deadline was set for November 17, 2024, but this extension provides candidates with an additional day to finalize their preferences for college allotments.

Candidates who have qualified the NEET PG 2024 exam are advised to visit the official MCC website (mcc.nic.in) to fill in their choices for colleges and courses. The choice filling and locking process is a critical step in the counselling procedure, as it determines the order in which candidates are considered for available seats in medical and dental postgraduate programs.

Steps to Fill Your Choices for NEET PG 2024 Counselling:

  1. Visit the official MCC website: mcc.nic.in
  2. On the homepage, click on the NEET PG 2024 counselling link.
  3. You will be redirected to a dedicated NEET PG 2024 counselling page.
  4. Enter your registration number and other required details.
  5. Submit your preferences for colleges and courses in order of priority.
  6. Save and download the page to confirm your choices.

Documents Required for NEET PG 2024 Counselling: Candidates must have the following documents ready during the counselling process:

  • Allotment Letter issued by MCC
  • Admit Card issued by NBE (National Board of Examinations)
  • Result/Rank Letter issued by NBE
  • Mark Sheets of MBBS/BDS 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Professional Examinations
  • MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate or Provisional Certificate

Counselling Process Overview: The MCC conducts four rounds of counselling for NEET PG 2024:

  1. Round 1: Candidates fill in their preferences and are allotted seats.
  2. Round 2: Registration starts on December 4, 2024, and ends on December 9, 2024.
  3. Mop-Up Round: For candidates who do not secure a seat in the first two rounds.
  4. Stray Vacancy Round: For remaining seats after the mop-up round.

The counselling process is being conducted for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, and 100% seats in deemed universities, central universities, Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), and PG DNB seats.

Candidates who are allotted a seat in Round 2 must report to their respective colleges by December 12, 2024.This extension gives candidates crucial additional time to ensure they make the right decisions regarding their medical and dental postgraduate education.
