JEE Main 2025: Exam Dates, Subjects, and Marking Scheme

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that JEE Main 2025 will be conducted between January 22 and 31, 2024. Students who register for the January session can choose whether to appear in the April session based on their performance. Candidates are not required to appear in both sessions of JEE Main 2025.

The exam will be held for admissions to BTech, BE, BArch, and BPlanning courses. The subjects for each paper are as follows:

  • BTech/BE Exam: The exam will consist of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Section A will carry 20 marks, while Section B will carry 5 marks.
  • BArch (Paper 2A): The exam will include Mathematics (Part-I), an Aptitude Test (Part-II) in CBT mode, and a Drawing Test (Part-III) in offline mode. The Mathematics section will be for 100 marks, the Aptitude Test will be for 200 marks, and the Drawing Test will be for 100 marks.
  • BPlanning (Paper 2B): The exam will have Mathematics (Part-I), an Aptitude Test (Part-II), and a Planning section (Part-III) in CBT mode.

Marking Scheme:

  • Correct answer: +4 marks
  • Incorrect answer: -1 mark
  • Unanswered or marked for review: 0 marks
  • Multiple correct options: +4 marks for any correct option selected
  • All options correct: +4 marks for all candidates who attempted the question.

This structure ensures transparency in marking and addresses discrepancies during the key verification process.
