Yesterday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu made a striking allegation regarding the quality of the Tirumala Laddu, suggesting that during the previous YCP tenure, animal fat was used instead of pure ghee in its preparation. This serious claim has already begun to rattle the YCP ecosystem, prompting swift responses from various party members.

In reaction to Naidu's comments, YCP spokesperson Ambati Rambabu expressed outrage, claiming that such allegations tarnish the sanctity of the revered Tirumala laddu. He stated, “No human being in a right mind would stoop to such lows. YCP did nothing as such—this is the peak of a negative agenda.” Rambabu’s defense underscores the importance of the laddu in the cultural and religious context of Andhra Pradesh.

Former TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy also condemned Naidu’s statement, calling it a baseless and vindictive accusation. He went so far as to promise on his family that animal fat had never been used in the laddu's preparation and challenged Naidu to do the same if he had any evidence to support his claims.

The controversy surrounding Naidu's remarks has sent shockwaves through the YCP, with party leaders actively defending the integrity of the Tirumala Laddu. Meanwhile, some netizens are calling for a CBI inquiry into the matter, highlighting the intensity of public sentiment surrounding this issue.

As the situation develops, it remains to be seen how this controversy will impact the political landscape in Andhra Pradesh and the ongoing rivalry between the YCP and TDP.
