At the recent  World Summit, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan addressed the critical issue of gender equality and the role of parents, particularly mothers, in raising sons with a strong sense of respect for women. In response to the tragic rape-murder incident involving a doctor in Kolkata, she stressed that conversations about gender equality should begin at home, ideally when boys are around 4-5 years old. Kareena highlighted that children learn more from observing their parents than from verbal discussions.

She shared her personal approach to parenting her sons, Taimur and Jeh, emphasizing the importance of modeling behaviors that promote equality and respect. By discussing her work and the values she hopes to instill in them, she aims to nurture future generations who stand up for truth and understand that women deserve equal opportunities. Kareena’s insights serve as a powerful reminder of the influence of parenting in shaping societal attitudes towards gender.
