Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan recently criticized former CM YS Jagan for allegedly running the state’s temples like a business operation, shortly after the discovery of adulterated ingredients in the famous Tirumala Laddu. However, with the new TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) board now in place, led by the experienced BR Naidu, significant changes are being made to improve the operations and environment at the Tirumala temple.

Under the new leadership, the TTD has focused on restoring the quality of the Tirumala Laddu by sourcing high-quality Nandini ghee and streamlining employee practices. A notable reform included the retirement of non-Hindu employees through Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) and a ban on discussing political matters within the temple premises, which aligns with the temple's spiritual focus.

Additional operational changes have also been implemented, including improved sanitation. Pilgrims have noticed cleaner restrooms and better-maintained pathways throughout Tirumala, signaling a clear improvement in the temple’s upkeep. The new TTD board is responding efficiently to public concerns, and in a major reformation, the board has confirmed the introduction of a name badge system for TTD employees.

This initiative will see employees wearing badges with their names printed on their uniforms, addressing a critical piece of feedback from the public. Pilgrims had raised concerns over some employees' harsh behavior, and this change will allow individuals to identify employees by name and file complaints if necessary. The introduction of this system is expected to bring greater accountability to the workforce and encourage more respectful interactions with the devotees.

These reforms demonstrate that under BR Naidu's leadership, the TTD is undergoing significant positive changes, making it one of the most efficient and responsive boards in recent years.
