A tragic shooting at a makeshift club in Houston late Saturday night resulted in the deaths of two teens and the injury of four others, including a 13-year-old girl. Police responded to the chaotic scene, where a large crowd was seen fleeing the venue. The incident occurred at an unsanctioned pop-up party, which appeared to have been organized via social media, in an empty business space.

According to Assistant Chief Luis Menendez-Sierra, witnesses reported seeing a man dressed in black, including a hooded sweatshirt and a black mask, who opened fire into the crowd with a pistol. A 16-year-old male was declared dead at the scene, while a 14-year-old female succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. The identities of the victims are pending verification by the medical examiner.

The four injured victims, all females, were hospitalized, with the 13-year-old in critical condition, an 18-year-old in serious condition, and a 17-year-old and 19-year-old in stable condition. Most attendees at the event were juveniles, police said.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez emphasized the dangers of unsanctioned pop-up parties, warning that such events can escalate into violence and chaos. He urged teens to avoid these gatherings for their safety.
