Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has made a remarkable achievement by registering over 1 crore members, a first in the party's history. The ongoing membership drive, which has seen a surge in registrations, has reached an impressive milestone of 1,00,20,065 members, with notable participation from both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The drive gained momentum under the leadership of Nara Lokesh, who introduced an insurance policy offering a Rs 5 lakh coverage, adding significant value for the party's members. The membership, which costs just Rs 100, also provides other perks, and the party has paid a Rs 42 crore premium to cover its registered members.

The membership drive has not only seen success in Andhra Pradesh but has also gained traction in Telangana, where over 15 lakh members have registered. The Nellore Assembly segment leads the charge with the highest number of members, while Kuppam, the constituency of party leader Chandrababu Naidu, ranks fifth.

This milestone marks a remarkable turnaround for TDP, which struggled in the 2019 elections and is now on track for a possible resurgence in the 2024 elections. The record-breaking membership drive reflects the party's growing influence and the increasing support from the people.
