The working president of BRS KTR has started damage control measures after the defeat in the elections. He is actively engaging in meetings with BRS cadre and tier-2 leaders. In one such meeting with Bhuvanagiri BRS leaders, KTR listed the five reasons behind BRS's defeat.

The first reason KTR said is that the BRS government tried to feed the government schemes and programs directly to the public without the use of party leaders. He believes this kept the BRS's local leaders away from the public and led to a complete disconnect, which meant these leaders couldn't influence the voters during the electioneering.

Another reason he said is that a section of the farmers held grudge on BRS over the Rythu Bandhu program as they got less money when compared to the bigger-scale farmers who had more acreage. The third reason is that BRS couldn't take it into the public that they allocated over 6 lakh new ration cards. He believes the lack of publicity meant this good work went unnoticed.

The fourth and final reason he picked is the lack of good electioneering as BRS lost 14 constituencies by a margin of hundreds or a few thousand votes. He felt that better election campaign and poll management could've flipped these seats in BRS's favor. Now that KTR has listed the 4 constituencies, we shall see what sort of reconstructive work BRS will carry out to make up for it in the next election.
