"Not Kings or Dictators" Naidu's Clear Instruction To Cabinet

One of the main complaints against the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan was his fascination with "Paradhas" and the culture of halting the traffic for extended periods.

Reportedly, there were instances when the traffic used to be halted for nearly an hour or more if Jagan was going to public events. It is seen that this anti-public stance also contributed to his downfall.

It appears, Chandrababu Naidu has taken a cue or two from this method and he has reportedly delivered clear instructions against the same to his cabinet ministers. He made it clear that this is not the day and age of kings or dictators so everyone must abide by the public's standards.

In his briefing about Polavaram, Naidu made it clear that he is actively observing the police and security activities while he is out in public. "My intention is that the public must not be stopped for more than 5 minutes while I am out on official duties. I want the wait time for the public to be around 2 minutes while my convoy passes through. I can afford to be a few minutes late, but I don't want the public to wait because of me."

Naidu said this has been communicated to his cabinet ministers as well and the public's interest has been put above all else, starting from the convoy waiting time itself.
