In times of natural calamities, there is often an expectation for leaders from all political parties to come together and assist in relief and rescue operations. The recent floods in Krishna and Guntur districts have prompted an active response from leaders of the ruling NDA government, including Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who have been actively involved in supporting affected areas. However, a noticeable absence has been observed from leaders of the YSR Congress party, who were previously vocal and prominent during their tenure in power.

Despite the severe impact of the floods, firebrand politicians from the YSR Congress party, such as Kodali Nani, Perni Nani, and Anil Kumar Yadav, have been conspicuously missing from the flood relief efforts. These leaders, who once commanded significant attention and controversy, have not participated in any rescue operations or offered support to their constituents during this crisis. Their absence is particularly striking given their previous high-profile presence and outspoken nature.

The situation raises questions about the responsibility of elected representatives towards their constituents, especially after losing power. Former MLAs like Malladi Vishnu and Vellampalli Srinivas, who have also stayed away from public engagement, further highlight the disparity in response. This lack of visible support from YSR Congress leaders contrasts sharply with the proactive measures taken by the current ruling party, reflecting a troubling shift in the commitment to public service during times of need.
