HYDRA’s efforts to remove encroachments from sensitive zones have been widely recognized and applauded, especially in light of the recent monsoon-induced inundations that have highlighted the need for such measures.

Among those who have recently endorsed the HYDRA initiative is Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. In the wake of severe flooding in Vijayawada, which has intensified calls for similar actions, Pawan Kalyan has praised the HYDRA project as a necessary and effective solution for addressing illegal constructions. He suggested that the Andhra Pradesh government might consider implementing a comparable initiative to manage encroachments and prevent future issues.

Despite controversy surrounding HYDRA’s demolition of actor Nagarjuna’s N Convention, the project has largely received support, including from Tollywood celebrities. Pawan Kalyan's endorsement further solidifies the initiative’s credibility. He emphasized the importance of preventing illegal constructions in sensitive areas by ensuring that permissions are not granted for developments in buffer zones, advocating for a proactive approach to urban planning and flood management.
