Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi has arrived in New Delhi for his inaugural official visit to India as the Crown Prince. The visit underscores the deepening relationship between India and the UAE. In a significant diplomatic move, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted the Crown Prince at the Hyderabad House, where the two leaders engaged in discussions aimed at furthering bilateral ties. This marks a pivotal moment as India officially interacts with the next generation of UAE's royalty and leadership, reflecting the importance both nations place on their relationship.

The Crown Prince's visit is not limited to New Delhi; he is also scheduled to meet President Droupadi Murmu and participate in a Business Forum in Mumbai. The forum will see the participation of top business leaders from both countries, highlighting the economic ties that complement the political and strategic partnership. This visit follows the historic trip by PM Modi to the UAE in August 2015, which was the first by an Indian Prime Minister in 34 years and elevated the relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The India-UAE relationship is marked by robust trade ties, with the UAE being India's largest trading partner in the Arab world. Bilateral trade is projected to reach USD 100 billion by the end of the decade, with 2022-23 figures showing approximately USD 85 billion in trade. Additionally, the UAE ranks among the top four investors in India, underscoring the economic significance of this partnership.
