The NDA alliance has made a triumphant return to power in Andhra Pradesh following a decisive victory in the 2024 elections, mirroring its success from 2014. A notable difference this time is the cohesive and organized nature of the partnership among the TDP, JSP, and BJP, which bodes well for their governance.

At a recent political conclave in Mangalagiri, intended to mark the first 100 days of the NDA government, representatives from all three parties showcased a spirit of cooperation and mutual support. The positive interactions among MLAs and MPs highlighted a collective commitment to achieving shared goals, a stark contrast to the disarray that characterized the alliance in previous years.

In the 2014 elections, JSP was not part of the electoral fray, leaving the competition primarily between TDP and BJP. However, tensions escalated leading up to the 2019 polls, resulting in a breakdown of relations among the three parties, which ultimately harmed their electoral prospects. This time, the alliance appears to have learned valuable lessons from those mistakes.

During the conclave, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was seen engaging in friendly discussions with JSP and BJP MLAs, emphasizing the camaraderie that is essential for a successful coalition. Similarly, Pawan Kalyan was observed sharing light moments with TDP MLAs, fostering an atmosphere of collaboration.

The previous discord among Chandrababu, Pawan Kalyan, and Modi created significant challenges, allowing Jagan Mohan Reddy to capitalize on their rifts. However, the current alliance has demonstrated a clear commitment to unity, as evidenced by Naidu and Kalyan actively interacting with each other’s members.
