Y.S. Jagan, the chief of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YCP), held a press conference addressing the ongoing Tirumala Laddu controversy, which has garnered national attention. Jagan firmly denied any allegations of wrongdoing and expressed his willingness to cooperate with any investigations into the matter.

During the press meet, Jagan took aim at the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP), referencing a case involving Mumbai-based model and actress Kadambari Jethwani. He pointed out that three officials were suspended in connection with that case, claiming they were made scapegoats despite having no direct ties to the incident. “What’s the name of the side actress? Jethwani something… oh yes, Kadambari Jethwani,” he remarked, suggesting that the TDP is using the Laddu controversy as a distraction from more pressing issues.

Jagan criticized TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu, asserting that the party is adept at media management and has successfully shifted public focus away from the suspension of the officials involved in the Jethwani case. “Chandrababu and TDP are experts in media management,” he said, implying that the timing of the Laddu controversy is a calculated move to divert attention.

However, some analysts view Jagan's comments as illogical, noting that the two situations are markedly different. The Laddu controversy, which touches upon deep-seated Hindu sentiments, is particularly significant given that Tirumala is one of the most revered shrines globally. As such, the sensitivity surrounding this issue could complicate Jagan's narrative and the political dynamics at play.
