Deputy Chief Minister and Janasena leader Pawan Kalyan made a significant visit to Vizianagaram district this morning, where he met with families affected by a recent diarrhoea outbreak attributed to contaminated water. During his visit, he assured the grieving families that his government would provide necessary support in their time of need.

On his return journey, Pawan Kalyan stopped in Visakhapatnam to inspect the controversial Rushikonda Palace, a lavish structure built by former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at a staggering cost of nearly ₹500 crores. The palace has been a focal point of controversy, as it reportedly violated ecological laws in its construction, with Jagan intending it to be his official residence post the 2024 elections. However, with the NDA government now in power, the palace has become a burden, prompting discussions about potentially leasing it for tourism purposes.

Pawan's visit marks his first since the palace was highlighted by Bheemili MLA Ganta Srinivas earlier this year. Accompanied by Vizag MP Sri Bharat and Yalamanchili MLA Vijay Sundarapu, Pawan Kalyan toured the premises and interacted with the workers present. Interestingly, he refrained from making any public statements regarding the palace during this visit.

The Rushikonda Palace has been at the center of political controversy in Andhra Pradesh, symbolizing allegations of financial misappropriation by the previous administration. In recent weeks, Lokesh has mentioned that the future of the palace will ultimately be decided by CM Chandrababu Naidu. Observers are now keenly awaiting feedback from Pawan Kalyan regarding his insights on the palace and its potential future, following his visit.
