Telangana's IT and Municipal Administration Minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) engaged with citizens during his popular #AskKTR Twitter session, where he answered a variety of questions, providing insights into the state’s political landscape and the IT sector. Among the inquiries, one Twitter user raised concerns about the potential threat Amaravati might pose to Hyderabad and other Tier-II cities in the IT sector, referencing former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s ambitions and his affiliation with the current NDA government.

KTR responded thoughtfully, acknowledging Naidu's ambitious nature while firmly stating that Amaravati would not be a threat to Hyderabad. He emphasized that Hyderabad has established itself as a leading hub for IT, noting, "CBN is an ambitious leader, but Hyderabad is in an orbit of its own. We had beaten Bengaluru in terms of IT growth rate in the past." However, he expressed uncertainty about the future of the IT sector in Hyderabad under the current Congress rule, hinting at potential challenges that may arise.

In another segment of the session, KTR was asked about the relationship between his party, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), and the opposition parties, specifically the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP). KTR clarified that while there might be ideological differences on various issues, he maintains a good personal rapport with the leadership of both parties. "We might differ on issues, but broadly speaking, we have nothing personal against anyone per se," he stated, indicating a willingness to engage constructively despite political rivalries.

KTR's candid responses during the #AskKTR session reflect not only his views on the state's IT growth and political dynamics but also his commitment to fostering dialogue and addressing the concerns of Telangana's citizens. As discussions around the future of the IT sector and political relationships continue, KTR's insights will undoubtedly shape the narrative in the lead-up to future elections.
