Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently made significant remarks regarding India’s Constitution, highlighting the democratic process of its adoption and emphasizing its deep connection with India's traditions. Shah stated that the Constitution was adopted after extensive feedback from the people, marking a democratic milestone in India’s history.

Some of his key quotes touched upon the ongoing debates in Parliament about the Constitution, noting that they have served as an educational opportunity for future generations. He pointed out that the discussions have made it clear which parties have respected the Constitution and which have not.

Shah also took a jibe at Congress, saying that their leaders were carrying a "fake, blank Constitution," a remark linked to the recent elections. He contrasted the constitutional amendments made by Congress (77 times) with those by the BJP (22 times), suggesting that the BJP had been more respectful of the original intent.

He emphasized the importance of change, stating that the makers of the Constitution had built provisions for it, aligning with his belief that change is a truth of life. Shah also pointed out the government's recent accomplishments, including introducing new education policies and criminal justice reforms. He credited PM Narendra Modi for Indianizing the criminal justice system and freeing the country from a "mindset of slavery."

Lastly, he criticized the opposition over the EVM controversy, particularly focusing on their contradictory behavior after the Maharashtra and Jharkhand election results.
