During his visit to the United States to attend the inauguration of President Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States on January 20, 2025, S. Jaishankar praised the growing bilateral relationship between India and the United States. Representing Prime Minister Narendra Modi as his Special Envoy, Jaishankar emphasized the commitment of the Trump administration to building on the solid foundations established by previous administrations.
