Ranbir Kapoor attended the 55th International Film Festival in Goa, where he honored his grandfather, Raj Kapoor, ahead of his 100th birth anniversary on December 14. During the event, Ranbir made a surprising revelation about his wife, Alia Bhatt. He shared that during their first meeting, Alia had asked him, “Who is Kishore Kumar?” This comment shocked many in the audience, as it was unexpected that Alia, a well-known Bollywood actress, would not know the iconic playback singer.

Ranbir, however, responded philosophically, saying it was a "circle of life" where some people are forgotten and later rediscovered. The revelation sparked mixed reactions, with some people expressing surprise at Alia’s lack of knowledge about Kishore Kumar, while others interpreted it as Ranbir’s subtle way of getting back at Alia for a previous revelation she made. Alia had once disclosed that Ranbir doesn’t like her wearing lipstick, which led to online trolls and backlash against him. Some believe that Ranbir’s comment was a form of “sweet revenge.”

In the midst of this, Ranbir’s family is also preparing to host the Raj Kapoor Film Festival from December 13 to 15 across India. The festival will showcase restored versions of 10 of Raj Kapoor’s classic films, celebrating his legacy and contributions to Indian cinema.
