Andhra Pradesh politics is reaching a critical juncture, marked by significant events such as the ongoing Tirumala Laddu adulteration controversy and a wave of political defections. In a notable development, Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, a prominent member of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s camp, officially joined Janasena in the presence of party leader Pawan Kalyan.

Adding fuel to the political fire, TDP veteran and current cabinet minister Atchannaidu made a striking revelation about another YSR Congress leader, Vijayasai Reddy. During a media interaction, he disclosed that Reddy had been desperately seeking to leave YCP, reportedly begging to join TDP for nearly 95 days following the NDA’s rise to power in the state.

Atchannaidu remarked, “Not many people might know this. It has been 100 days since the NDA came to power in AP, and Vijayasai Reddy approached us for nearly 95 days, begging to join TDP. He was ready to catch anyone’s legs to join TDP and save himself. But we shut the door on his face as TDP has no place for such people.”

This statement sheds light on the desperation within YSR Congress ranks as some leaders seek new alliances amid shifting political allegiances. Vijayasai Reddy, often regarded as the No. 2 in YSR Congress with close ties to Jagan Mohan Reddy, is now seen as actively exploring options to join the TDP.

Atchannaidu's comments highlight the tumultuous state of Andhra Pradesh politics, where alliances are fluid and leaders are reevaluating their positions. This article delves into the implications of these defections and what they could mean for the future political landscape in Andhra Pradesh.
