The filmmaker had shared morphed pictures of political figures such as Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Lokesh, leading to several cases being filed against him across multiple police stations in Andhra Pradesh. Despite being summoned for questioning, RGV has been evading arrest, citing various reasons and even seeking anticipatory bail from the High Court.

However, the situation reached a tipping point when Ongole Police arrived at his residence in Hyderabad, signaling the possibility of imminent arrest. This intensifies the legal action against him, especially after his failure to secure anticipatory bail.

Apart from the social media posts, RGV's controversial films, including Lakshmi’s NTR and Powerstar, which targeted political parties like TDP and Janasena, have contributed to his reputation as a filmmaker who is not shy about pushing political boundaries.
