In a major political development, Vijaya Sai Reddy, a key member of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YCP), has announced his decision to step away from active politics. He revealed that he will resign from his Rajya Sabha seat on January 25, 2025, signaling the end of his political career.

Reddy clarified that he would not be joining any political party or taking up any other official position in the future. His resignation is a personal choice and was not influenced by external pressure.

He expressed deep gratitude to the YSR family for their support over the years, acknowledging the trust placed in him by three generations of the family. He thanked Andhra Pradesh former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for the opportunities he was given, particularly serving as a Rajya Sabha member twice. He also paid tribute to the late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who gave him the platform to rise in politics.

Reddy reflected on his work within the party and his relationships with key political figures such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, noting their recognition of his efforts in bridging the gap between the central and state governments. Despite his ideological differences with the TDP, he maintained respectful personal relationships with N. Chandrababu Naidu's family and also shared a longstanding friendship with Jana Sena Party leader, Pawan Kalyan.

Looking ahead, Reddy expressed his plans to focus on agriculture, marking a shift away from his political career. He concluded by thanking his supporters and party workers, acknowledging their unwavering support throughout his career.
