India’s Smriti Mandhana has risen to second place in the ICC Women's ODI Batting Rankings after a remarkable series against Ireland, where she scored 135 in the third ODI and contributed with 41 and 73 runs in the first two matches. With 738 points, Mandhana is now only behind South Africa's Laura Wolvaardt, who leads the rankings with 773 points. Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu follows in third with 733 points. Mandhana is currently the only Indian player in the top 10 of the ICC Women's ODI Batting Rankings.
Meanwhile, Jemimah Rodrigues, who scored her maiden ODI century against Ireland, moved up two spots to 17th in the rankings, while India’s skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, who missed the series, remains in the 15th spot.
Deepti Sharma also saw an improvement in the rankings, holding the sixth spot in the ICC Women’s Allrounder Rankings with 344 points. Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner, who was exceptional in the Ashes series, claimed the top spot in the allrounder rankings, surpassing South Africa’s Marizanne Kapp. Gardner also made significant strides in the batting rankings, moving up to the top 10 with a career-high 648 rating points.
In the bowling rankings, led by England’s Sophie Ecclestone, Deepti Sharma improved to fourth place with 680 rating points, further solidifying her all-around skills.
