In a recent press meeting celebrating the success of Devara: Part 1, lyricist Ramajogaiah Sastry expressed his gratitude for the positive reception of the film and praised the creative freedom provided by director Koratala Siva. He shared insights from a recent interview with Koratala, where the director emphasized accountability in filmmaking and the importance of minimizing outside interference.
Sastry remarked, “If we are given the freedom to do our work, the result will be like Devara.” This comment, however, sparked speculation among fans and media regarding the challenges Koratala faced during the production of Acharya, particularly concerning reports of excessive influence from lead actor Chiranjeevi on creative decisions.
Many interpreted Sastry's statement as support for Koratala's vision on Devara, suggesting that the director enjoyed greater creative liberty this time around, which may have contributed to the film's success.
Recognizing the potential misinterpretation of his words, Ramajogaiah Sastry took to social media to clarify his intentions. He stated, “It looks like my comments are misinterpreted. My intention is to convey that Koratala garu gives freedom to his team. I request everyone not to draw different meanings out of what I said.” His clarification aims to refocus the discussion on the collaborative spirit of the project rather than comparisons with past experiences.
