Telangana has a vibrant culture that sees liquor sales soar during the Dasara season, and this year has been no exception—setting an unprecedented record. From October 1st to 11th, a staggering 10.4 lakh cases of liquor and 17.5 lakh cases of beer were sold, accumulating sales worth ₹1,057.42 crore.
By October 10th, the figures had already reached 836,000 cases of liquor and 14 lakh cases of beer, totaling ₹852.4 crore. The momentum continued on Friday, when retailers ordered an additional 2.08 lakh cases of liquor and 307,000 cases of beer from excise depots, resulting in transactions valued at ₹205.42 crore.
Overall, liquor sales in Telangana during October alone have exceeded ₹1,057 crore, representing a 15% increase compared to last year's Dasara season.
