The bribery allegations involving business tycoon Gautam Adani and Andhra Pradesh former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, amounting to Rs 1750 crores, have led to widespread criticism, especially from Jagan's own sister, YS Sharmila. Sharmila has raised suspicions about her brother's involvement in the scandal, which was highlighted by the U.S. Department of Justice.

Sharmila challenged Jagan's responses to the allegations, accusing him of evading questions regarding the bribery claims. She demanded that Jagan make a personal promise on his children, assuring the public that he had not taken any bribes or commissions from Adani. "Only then can we believe what he's saying is true," Sharmila stated, reflecting the deep distrust she seems to have towards her brother in this matter.

This bold demand from Sharmila has added to the political tension, as it not only questions Jagan's integrity but also strains the relationship between the two siblings. Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh government, under CM Chandrababu Naidu, has confirmed that they are considering measures to address the situation and take appropriate action if necessary.
