Government Announces ₹25 Lakh Ex-Gratia for Victims of Tirupati Stampede

The recent tragic stampede during the Vaikuntha Ekadashi celebrations in Tirupati has left the community in grief. In response to the crisis, the government has announced an ex-gratia of ₹25 lakh to the families of the deceased. This announcement was made following the incident at the token distribution centers for the Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan.

Revenue Minister Anagani Satyaprasad, alongside other state ministers, including Home Minister Anita and Anam Ramanayana Reddy, visited the affected individuals receiving treatment at Ruya and SWIMS hospitals. The ministers expressed their condolences to the families of the victims and assured them of enhanced medical services for the injured.

The government has emphasized its commitment to a thorough investigation into the causes of the stampede, aiming to identify any lapses or conspiracies that may have contributed to the tragedy. Home Minister Anita has also promised stringent action against those found responsible for the incident, underscoring the government's resolve to prevent such incidents in the future.
