500 NRI Students Unite in Kurukshetra for Bhagavad Gita Recitation

In an inspiring display of spiritual unity, 500 NRI students from over 50 countries gathered in Kurukshetra to recite all 700 verses of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. The event, guided by Sri Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji of Mysuru's Avadhoota Datta Peetham, marked the first large-scale Gita recitation by expatriate Indians on this sacred land.

Held at the Punjabi Dharamshala, the Gita Parayana Yagna showcased the text's timeless teachings. Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatreya attended the gathering, emphasizing the Gita's universal relevance and commending Swamiji’s efforts to promote Sanatana Dharma worldwide.

Swamiji has previously organized similar events globally, including a record-setting recitation in Chicago involving 10,000 participants. His initiatives, often recognized by Guinness World Records, continue to inspire global communities through the profound wisdom of India's sacred texts.
