A disturbing incident occurred at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur during the first day of the second Test match between India and Bangladesh. Bangladesh cricket team's super fan, known as Tiger Roby, was allegedly assaulted by a group of Indian fans. The altercation prompted police intervention, and Roby was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

According to reports from news agency PTI, the incident unfolded in stand C, where Roby, dressed in a tiger costume, was supporting his team. Although details surrounding the cause of the confrontation remain unclear, it was noted that Roby appeared to be in distress following the incident.

An official from the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association described Roby as being unable to clearly communicate what had transpired but mentioned that he indicated he had been punched in the abdomen. Witnesses observed him wincing in pain and struggling to remain conscious as he was assisted out of the stands.

A police officer present at the venue stated that Roby received initial first aid, and due to delays in the ambulance's arrival, the in-stadia medical team took him to a local medical facility. "We do not know if he was hit by somebody. We have a constable in that stand to keep an eye on the fans. We could not understand what he was saying. Probably he had pain," the officer explained.

This unfortunate incident highlights the need for better fan management and safety measures during sporting events, as tensions can sometimes escalate in such environments.
