  • Microsoft Copilot, India AI market

Microsoft is experiencing strong momentum for its AI platform, Copilot, in India, fueled by increased real-world applications across both personal and enterprise settings. Puneet Chandok, President of Microsoft India and South Asia, recently noted that AI skepticism in India is shifting to optimism, as companies and individuals increasingly adapt to AI tools like Copilot. The growing use of Copilot in India has bolstered Microsoft's commitment to AI investment, signaling no reduction in tech spending in the country.

India, now one of Microsoft's fastest-growing regions globally, is benefiting from aggressive AI feature rollouts, including advancements in Microsoft 365 and GitHub Copilot. Notably, GitHub Copilot recently added support for multiple models, such as Anthropic’s Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Google’s Gemini 1.5 Pro, and OpenAI’s GPT-4o. Alongside software enhancements, brands like Asus, HP, and Dell have launched Copilot+ PCs in India, allowing users to natively access AI through a dedicated Copilot button and system-wide integration.

Microsoft’s growing commitment to AI and innovation in India aligns with its goal to tap into a rapidly expanding tech market, offering AI-driven solutions that promise to reshape user experience and productivity across sectors.
