Prior to the 2024 election campaign, Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy was just an MLA candidate from Macherla. But after the EVM smashing incident in Macherla during this year's polling, Pinnelli became a hot topic statewide. Now, he has been arrested and sent to jail. 

The more interesting thing is that Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy already had 14 cases filed against him, including murder cases, but never spent time in jail. 

But with the onset of the TDP government in Andhra Pradesh, Pinnelli's jail-free run finally came to an end. Due to the severity of this election case, the veteran MLA has finally been nabbed as his anticipatory bail term came to an end. 

In the 2009 election too, Pinnelli allegedly attacked the TDP agents in Rentachinthala. In 2017, Pinnelli was named as the prime accused for the murder of TDP leader Papi Reddy in Veldurthi. In 2019, Pinnelli is accused of attacking TDP leader Annapureddy Anjireddy and his family members. 

These are just a few of the cases filed against Pinnelli who shockingly had 14 cases against him but never went to jail. But his merry run came to an end immediately after the arrival of the TDP government and he is facing the wrath for the same now. He is the first YCP MLA to be arrested in the TDP tenure.
