The vice-presidential candidates were also active on the campaign trail. Walz delivered a speech in Raleigh, North Carolina, while the Republican vice-presidential nominee, JD Vance, addressed a first responders' convention in Boston, where his speech received a mixed reaction of cheers and boos.
